> How can I easily find a specific landform on the world map? In that case, move to a normal tile before removing the mod. Yes, unless you have settled on an impassable mountains tile, which is not supported by vanilla. > Can I safely remove this mod from an existing save? Of course existing colony maps will not be affected, only new ones generated after the mod was added. > Can I add this mod to an existing save? For islands specifically, at least one side will always have shallow water to allow entering and leaving the map. > How do events and raids work on islands?Īll landforms (should) always leave at least one part of the map edge walkable, which allows events and raids to happen normally. Geological Landforms does not add or modify any biomes, and instead adds a separate layer to map generation that can then independently be applied to any biome, including ones added by other mods. > How is this mod different from other map generation mods? Using a larger map size is also fine, but the landforms might not generate correctly if the map is too small.ĭirect downloads for non-Steam users are available here: GitHub Releases The landforms are optimized for the standard map size (250x250). Each landform only generates on tiles within its appropriate temperature range, rainfall amount and other conditions. Landforms of the selected world tile are listed at the bottom of the world map "Terrain" tab. For example, Islands and Archipelagos are very remote but provide very little stone and ores, and Canyons and Rifts are very easy to defend and have plenty of ores, but provide very little natural resources like food, light, wood, and space to grow plants or keep animals. Some of the landforms significantly affect gameplay and can make the game both easier or much more challenging in various ways. The goal of this mod is to make map generation more interesting and varied, compared to the vanilla experience of having either a cliff or a coast on one edge of your map. You can see an example of each landform in the image gallery on this workshop page. Other modules will come with time.Adds 36 landforms to the game, which generate biome-independently. LETHAL!Įverything created by Sarg Bjornson [Oskar provided moral support while my sanity slowly eroded. Q: This is so unbalanced and X plant is SO OP! Whilst some mechanics can seem duplicated, we have taken extra steps to rename all the label names and descriptions, so when running RC2 or VGP, our items seem like different types of items than those of VGP or RC2.Ī: You need the Tree Sowing research unlocked.Ī: This is intended, as reinstalling trees would allow the player to replant them right next to each other, thus negating blockAdjacentSow entirely!Ī: Yes, you can add it whenever you like. Q: Does it work alongside VGP/RimCuisine2?Ī: Yes it does, no crashes were reported. Hard incompatibility with aquatic and sand plants with Grow Anywhere Vanilla Plants Expanded - More Plants content and mechanics can be seen described below: It is not a way to work around Fine meals needing meat or animal products. This is inefficient, and useful if a recipe NEEDS base game milk. They ignore fertility, but their crops will take a long time to sow and harvest, basically exchanging colonist work for growing plants in a normally unused space.įinally, by researching vegetable milk production, you can turn rice, coconuts, almonds, oats (with VE Cooking) and Soybeans (with VE Sushi) into milk. These add new crops each, that can only be grown on them. Two new unique types of growing zone have been added: sandy and aquatic growing zones. This mod adds a variety of fruit plants and crops to spice up your fields even further, with each prop adding something different and unique, allowing you to use the power of farming differently based on your situation and needs. [Vanilla Plants Expanded - More Plants is an add-on module for Vanilla Plants Expanded from the Vanilla Expanded team.
